KIVI On A Mission To Birmingham 30th April 2022
Awesome, Awesome
The preparation started weeks before the above date, with advance team visiting spiritual leaders in Birmingham and the town centre mapping out the area. Two weeks to go followed by prayer storming for Birmingham and fasting as well. Lots of groundwork being done, breaking the fallow ground.
On the day, 30th April 2022, we were ready. Some were so eager and arrived at 07:30 rather than 08:00 which was the official time. The coach took off at exactly 09:00 as promised and thankfully everyone was on time. Brethren were charged up on the coach full of excitement as we worshiped. The atmosphere in the coach was spiritually electrified.
Testimonies: the entire team worked and moved in one accord from the coach to the end of storming Birmingham. As a result of the unity God commanded and released His blessings upon us all. 153 souls recorded made commitment to the Lord. Glory be to God.
The number, 153 is very significant in the bible from John 21:11. After Jesus rose from the dead, He appeared to the disciples on a number of occasions. John 21 records the third of those instances and includes the notable mention of 153 fish. Peter and the others had just witnessed another miracle of Jesus involving a large catch of fish, and “Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn” (John 21:11). Glory be to God fishers of men in KIVI*
A Muslim couple from Iran heard the Gospel and were reluctant to make commitment as they expressed fear of being killed if found out. But the power of the gospel convicted them and the couple made commitment to the Lord. They are now being followed up in discipleship.
Some People with health challenges were prayed for and healed. A brother and I prayed for a lady who was feeling very fearful and oppressed in her circumstance and she was set free from panic attacks and anxiety and has requested to be baptised and is now being followed up by the church.
As we all gathered to celebrate God’s goodness in worship and dancing, onlookers couldn’t help but join the dance. I noticed three young ladies watching the celebration and I walked to them and encouraged them to join the dance, am I glad they did as their moves caught everyone’s attention. All three ladies made commitment to the Lord at the end and gave me their phone numbers to follow them.
Group 2. As one of the sisters was sharing the Gospel, a man walked directly towards her. He was so fixed on reaching her that he would not have stopped if I did not intervene and stood between them. I moved him away from the sister to talk to him. He shared that the word being spoken by the sister was just pulling him towards her, he had no control over himself. He said he was a Christian, but he had been to prison and just released. I shared the Gospel with him and he prayed to rededicate his life to Jesus. He gave his contact details so he can be followed up. He then waited for the sister to finish speaking so that she can also pray for him. After that he gave us £10 which we tried to refuse but he would not accept no for an answer.
God is amazing in all his ways. This £10.00 was later given to a family in desperate need for money, and they were ministered to and in turn attended the church service the next day, following making commitment to the Lord. The church also bought this family a phone and are now able to keep in touch and follow them up. God’s love and kindness is wrapped in all that He does according to Psalm 145 (tpt). Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. The power of the gospel was irresistible to this guy so much that he walked to the preacher while she was preaching. Awesome God, bring it on.
