Storming Margate - 24th September 2022
KIVI ON A MISSION…
The Advance Team travelled to Margate to scout the land in readiness for the storming on the 24th. A sister who was our contact person in Margate met with us on arrival over coffee and tea and gave us vital information about the city, confirming that our coming to Margate is ordained by God at the time.
The biggest Church, of approximately 1,000 people, that was serving the community and other churches on weekly basis, had to close down a few months before. Another Church that employed a South African Pastor lost half of its membership. A third church that employed an LGBT clergy lost most of its members as well. She added that Margate is going through a healing process, and we were sent by God to bring restoration to the land.
We were also introduced to the intercessor for the land, a man over 80 years of age. We were driven to his home, called The Light House, where we had warm fellowship with him and felt the presence of God in the house. The intercessor told us that he had a visitation from the Lord and knew we were coming to Margate. The intercessor reminded me of the following scripture:
“See, I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them and reduce the hills to chaff. 16 You will winnow them, the wind will pick them up, and a gale will blow them away. But you will rejoice in the Lord and glory in the Holy One of Israel. (Isaiah 41:15-16)
Based on the information related to us, we now went into preparation on our return whereby the network went into prayer and fasting, two weeks for Margate before the storming. We had meetings for planning and preparation before the storming.
Closer to the day of the storming, the excitement and expectations increased daily among the team.
“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.” (Proverbs 23:18)
On the day of storming over fifty people boarded the coach, full of positive energy. We worshiped, we shared testimonies, and encouraged the team through the gospel. We had four groups for the outreaches and had worship in the clock tower area. It was a blessing and such an encouragement to see the city intercessor joining us in worship and also blessing us in prayer before leaving.
TESTIMONIAL
Margate will never be the same as we know that prayer changes situations. God heard our declarations over the grounds. The atmosphere was charged spiritually. Joy and gladness were restored to the city of Margate as we watched the public join us in dancing and celebrating the goodness of God.
We give thanks to the Holy Spirit that convicted 80 souls to make a commitment. Praise God, hallelujah! During the outreach, physical healing took place in many lives including spiritual liberation. There was a strong sense of togetherness and teamwork among the team, and never a dull moment.
